The MeetingPlace 8 audio bridge product was designed for company to serve a very
limited function.  This product will be used to host the scheduled Board of Director meetings
periodically throughout the year.  It will also be used by senior executives to host ad hoc
      meetings.

BOARD OF DIRECTOR SCHEDULED MEETINGS

The company wishes to mimic the same call flow as a carrier based Conference Bridge.  This is where the caller dials the conference bridge number and enters a meeting ID.  After that, the caller should be placed immediately into the conference bridge.

EXECUTIVE MEET ME BRIDGE
▸  The senior executives require an audio conference bridge for ad hoc meetings that will not require a profile or a meeting ID to enter the conference bridge.  They wish to dial into a bridge number and be immediately placed into the conference

  Users with Profile

▸  All board members will have a profile with two telephone numbers defined.  When they call in from one of these numbers, they should be prompted to enter the meeting ID.

  Guest users

▸  Callers without a profile or those calling from unidentified telephone numbers should experience the same call flow as the profiled users.

Failover

For Application Server redundancy, two Application Servers-an active and a standby-will be deployed as part of one logical site. The active Application Server runs all processes and subsystems, while the standby Application Server only runs the database and Apache Tomcat processes and subsystems.
If the active Application Server fails, then you can activate the standby Application Server and place the previously active Application Server in standby mode. This procedure is manual.
In the event of a failure, the end users will usually experience some or all of the following:
  • MeetingPlace Server is unresponsive
  • Busy
  • Ring no answer
 Network Management
SNMP traps are used for network management purpose
    Backup

    ▪ The Cisco Unified MeetingPlace backup and restore functions ensure that the system can recover with minimal data loss in case of database failure or corruption. To back up data to a remote device on the network, you must have an SFTP or FTP server configured.
